Free Forum Membership Up For Grabs!!

We have revamped our forums, and they are back in business! We want to thank all of you that have stuck with us through the transition. What better way to do that then to give away a free membership?!

OK here's how it works. There are three things that you can do to increase your chances for winning the membership.

1.) Fan and share our Facebook page and comment here with a link showing that you did so. Facebook makes this easy now - you can just make that one particular post public without affecting the rest of your privacy settings.

2.) Share a link to this Blog to spread the word - if we get enough entries we may just give away two memberships, so let us feel the love! Don't forget to post a comment showing that you shared it!

3.)Share our website - www.breakfastclubphotography.com. Post a comment here showing that share as well.

On December 7th a winner will be chosen at random from the Blog comments to win the free membership. Remember to post a different comment for each item that you share to increase your chances.

Why do you want to be a member of our forums? It's the magazine come to life! All the helpful info that you read is at your fingertips, and we are there to personally reply to your questions. Can't wait to see you there - now get out there are start sharing!!!

What YOU want!

It feels like a reeealllyyy long time since I've blogged here!! Probably because it has been! Between the storms wracking the midwest and the south, and some staffers having deaths in the family out poor Blog has been sorely neglected.

So lets get down to business. :) There was a post up in the forums about what all you would like to learn, both from the magazine and the forums. If your already a member over there, hurry over and go post some topics you would like us to teach you more about. If your not a member yet, the what are you waiting for?? ;) You can also tell us what you'd like to see in the comments here of course.

In an effort to make the Blog a more relevant part of our magazine, also comment and tell us what you would like to see here! Contests, information articles, features on sessions photographed by our readers? You tell us what YOU want to see!

And don't forget, you can submit your images to be published in the magazine here, on Facebook, or email them to breakfastclubphotography@gmail.com.

Hope you all have some awesome sessions this weekend, and don't forget to share! You may see yourself on the Blog!!

Happy Thursday!

Update on the Forums and a Ramble or Two...

HELLO magazine fans!! The Blog has been sparse lately, because we have been working so hard on getting the forums up and running. We have a lot of new members, which we're very excited about, and we cant wait to get to know each one better. If you haven't joined yet you should, and if you've joined but are just lurking come on out of hiding - we want to know you!

A few random photography thoughts since it's been so long. I'm a huge CS5 lover, but Shannon wrote an article in the last mag issue about Lightroom that got me curious. So I tried it. I LOVE IT! I won't be giving up my photoshop by any means because I adore it as well, but I've started doing my basic stuff in Lightroom and finishing up in CS5, utilizing my favorite features from both. I think that if CS5 isn't an option with you then Lightroom is a great option. Lightroom + Photoshop Elements could be a great combo, and more affordable.

And how about a bit of homework? Have you taken any great nature shots lately? I have, and have loved getting out and playing with my camera. Your homework is to go have some FUN with your cam and show up the shots. Either email them to breakfastclubphotography@gmail.com or link us in the comments!

Happy Shooting!!

We're Back!!!

So things have been kind of slow over the holidays, but we're back and we're making up for it!! Our members have been faithfully posting their photos over in the group, and there are going to be a whole bunch of them in this post. It's too hard to narrow down that many good photos, so we'll just go a little overboard. :)

I LOVE the reflection in this photo!

I also love seeing photos of old buildings, especially barns, so naturally this one caught my eye.
Some of our members are practicing with new equipment to farther sharpen their skills. (And the subject is adorable!)
And some are showcasing that they have more than one talent! Laura of Blue Bonnet Designs made this snood and took the photo! This next one is just too adorable for words. See for yourself!
Who doesn't love a fantastic snowflake photo?

And guess what the next holiday is?

Tis the time of year for sports photography, like this fine example!and finally - I have loved this shot since the first time I laid eyes on it. It helps that the photographer has taught me SO much!

There were many more that I wanted to get, but time would not allow on this go-around. Keep posting and thank you for the support!
